At West Early College our students’ health, safety, and educational development are our top priorities. As COVID 19 cases are continuously monitored in the Denver area Denver Public Schools has decided to continue Quarter 4 begin Hybrid Learning while making some modifications to our hybrid weekly schedule, Wednesday Support (early release) schedule, and prioritize cohorts in order to maximize in-person learning as much as possible. During Hybrid Learning some students will continue Remote Learning from home and some students, those who have selected In Person Learning, will return to the school building. To find your Quarter 4 Hybrid class information like Courses, Google Meets, assignments, grades and annoucements, go to Schoology (click icon below). You will need to login using your DPS Student ID (Lunch #) and your birthdate as the password DDMMYYYY. In-Building students will be accessing the same learning materials as remote students on Schoology.
Due to feedback from students, staff and families West Early College will Wednesday is an Early Release Support Schedule. Student attendance is MANDATORY from 7:30-1:25. Staff will be available in GoogleMeets classrooms and offices for tutoring and support until 1:25. Students will be learning independently and have additional time to complete assignments, homeowork and assessments in an asyncronous format from 1:30-3:30. Students and families should use the Wednesday ‘Lab’ (7:30-8:00) and ‘Office Hours’ to connect with staff for 1:1 support.
