WEC is fortunate to have our Dean, Ms. Thomton as a wellness champion for students and teachers. In the building, she leads mindfulness exercises and hosts weekly Yoga classes after school. In remote learning, she has continued this work by creating great Mindfulness videos for us. Mindfulness practices can help us to increase our ability to regulate emotions, decrease stress, anxiety and depression. It helps us stay focused and alert, which is critical to being successful on school tasks and assignments.
